YAY: Boxing Day Sales

Wow, what a crazy experience that was. So on Boxing Day, Filip and I decided to head up to the city to join in the craze known as the Boxing Day Sales! Initially, we just went for the lolz, but by the end of the day, we got pretty serious and actually set out on a mission. That will be discussed later.

Luvo in Topman
Okay, it started with a few phone calls which I rejected (sorry Filip). However, we texted and it was arranged that we would go together. By the time I got out of the shower, Filip was already at Newtown D:. So I rushed as fast as possible and told him to wait for me at Sydenham. In arrived at Sydenham 25 minutes later and we met up :D. We alighted at Town Hall. It didn't seem that bad at first but as soon as we stepped into the QVB, boy did we know what we were in for! We started at Topshop/Topman first. We had to line up obviously, and during that course of time, I decided to interrupt people's luvos LOL. Okay, Topman, was just terrible, there was only one rack that was on sale, and all the prints were just ugly as and more so reflected the fashion in London rather than right here in Sydney.

Okay so now we decided to leave Topman and head over to Westfield. My god were the streets filled. The demographic was predominantly Asian, which, you know, epitomises the stereotype.. So we got into Westfield (Sydney Central Plaza) and went straight for Myer. We spent some time looking at clothes before heading over to the electronic floors. We then left Myer and had a walk through the foodcourt. We were in hope of a secluded cafe, but we failed to meet that objective. We ended up over in the Westfield Sydney in search for food. Filip wanted to have this hot dog thingo, but the line was just way too long, so he had Mexican with me! (See my blog post for that). We returned to the steps of the other Westfield and ate there. We also had froyo! (Also see my post for that).

Alrightios, we then proceeded to David Jones, where shit got serious. We both knew what we wanted at thsi stage. The stuff in DJ was way to expensive so we decided to go to ZARA, that shitty Spanish store that sells ugly stuff. But anyhows, we made it over there. The price of the stuff was pretty good. We found Filip a long sleeve shirt at the sale table that was $23! It was his size too which was incredible (basically, everything left was L+). I found myself some nice tshirt for $20 and we both got those.

And that pretty much was the end of our day! We headed back to Town Hall, where we had free tea and juice on the way. We boarded an Inner West Line train which went to Bankstown via Ashfield. I was alone for about 30 minutes, but that compensated for the time Filip had to wait! We will be back next year with a more focused approach :P
